➡️ Journal Line Types: These define the characteristics of subledger journal entry lines, such as whether a line is for actual, budget, or encumbrance entries, if it’s a debit or credit, whether matching lines are merged, and if data is transferred to the General Ledger in summary or detail.

➡️ Journal Entry Descriptions: These determine the content and sequence of elements that appear in the description for subledger journal headers and lines.

➡️ Mapping Sets: Mapping sets are used to associate specific output values for an Accounting Flexfield or an Accounting Flexfield segment based on an input value.

➡️ Account Derivation Rules: These rules define how the accounts for subledger journal entries are derived.

➡️ Supporting References: If used.

➡️ Journal Lines Definitions: These definitions group journal line types and account derivation rules to define the complete structure and content of subledger journal entry lines.

➡️ Application Accounting Definitions (AADs): An AAD is a collection of components or rules that determine how Subledger Accounting processes accounting events to create subledger and General Ledger journal entries. Each AAD is assigned to specific event classes and event types, including a header assignment and one or more journal lines definition assignments.

➡️ Subledger Accounting Methods (SLAMs): This is the highest level. A Subledger Accounting Method is a grouping of Application Accounting Definitions that comply with a common set of accounting requirements. Each SLAM can then be assigned to one or more ledgers.
